Rev. Walter M. Pedersen conducted rites at the First Lutheran church in Goodridge Wednesday afternoon for Mrs. Carl Erickson, 78, who succumbed at a local hospital, Saturday. The body was laid to rest in Poplar Grove cemetery northeast of Goodridge.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Erickson is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Thelma Aaker of Valley City, N. Dak.; three sons, Garfield of Portland, Ore., Arthur of Baudette, and Oscar of Goodridge; and ten grandchildren. Three daughters, a son, her parents, a sister, and three brothers preceded her in death.
Christina Erickson was born in Stevens Point, Wisc., and as a young girl came with her parents to Grafton, N. Dak. She was married to Carl Erickson at Holt, Dec. 24, 1897, and they homesteaded in Moylan township, north of Goodridge, where she has since made her home. She was a charter member of the First Lutheran church at Goodridge and was active in its ladies aid.

Note from Roger Anderson: Christine was born in Iola Township, Waupaca County, Wisconsin. I have found her baptism record in a church there. The obit's mention of "Stevens Point, Wis." was commonly made with the Iola area pioneers of those days as it was the nearest large city.
