Jerome Joseph Dufault, 80, of Bemidji, MN died on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at the Pioneer Memorial Care Center in Erskine, MN.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at St. Philip's Catholic Church in Bemidji, MN with Fr. Don Braukmann officiating. Visitation will be from 4 - 7 pm Friday at the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji with a rosary at 6 pm and one hour before the service on Saturday. Interment will be at the Holy Cross cemetery in Bemidji.

Jerome was born July 15, 1936 in Brooks, MN, the son of Joseph and Clarice (Boisvert) Dufault. The family moved to Grand Rapids. When he was 13, he went to live with his brother Alphie and his family on the farm in Gentilly. He married Mary Kay Hammerstrom on August 11, 1973 at St. Philip's Catholic Church in Bemidji. He worked as a steel worker for Reserve Mining Company in Silver Bay, MN from 1955 - 1986. They moved to Bemidji in 1999. He was a very faithful member of St. Philip's Catholic Church who loved to pray the rosary often. He was a hardworking, true gentleman who never met a stranger. Family was everything to Jerome and always came first.

He is survived by his wife: Mary of Bemidji, Daughter: Kathleen Dufault of Austin, MN, Son: Michael (Katie) Dufault of Centerville, MN, Granddaughter: Bailey Rose Dufault of Austin, MN, Siblings: Willard (Irene) Langlois of Havre, Montana, Theresa Chmielewski of Bemidji, Lawrence (Madeline) Dufault of Gentilly, MN, Antoinette Varin of South Milwaukee, Wisc, Helen (Louie) Pfeffer of Oak Creek, Wisc, Mother-in-law: Kitty Vanasse of Bemidji, Brothers-in-law: Lloyd Hammerstrom of Grand Forks, ND, Mike (Jo) Hammerstrom of Bemidji, Sisters-in-law: Pat (Jim) Gavin of Bemidji, Myrna Corvelli of Bemidji, Rose Dufault of Hibbing, MN, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Alphie, Bernice, Lorraine, George, Eleanor, Denage, Raymond and Kenneth.
