Clyde Bartlow.

Clyde C. Bartlow was born 3 1/2 miles North of Blandinsville, in McDonough County, June 6, 1886, and died Jan. 1, 1914, aged 27 years, 4 months and 5 days.

Clyde was the third of a family of four children. A little over a year ago he went to Pasadena, California where he was employed and where he was stricken with paralysis about three weeks ago. All that loving friends could do for him while away from his home was done and he was brought home Christmas day and on New Year's day he passed into the more immediate presence of God.

Clyde was patient through his illness and never once complained. He was a kind hearted good boy and loved by all who knew him and was held in high esteem by his employer and his associates. He leaves to mourn his loss a father, mother, one brother, Rolla; two sisters, Mrs. Harry Bainter and Mrs. Clarence Wood, of Sciota and a host of friends who deeply sympathize with the relatives in this dark hour of their affliction.
