He was born November 26, 1955 in Sutton, WV.
He was a mechanic, truck driver and an Army veteran. He loved animals.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Rosetta Alice Ables Greathouse; grandparents, Wes and Hettie Ables.
Surviving, daughters, Tammy Ables of Gassaway and Joni Fincham of Exchange; father, Bernard Greathouse of Gassaway; companion, Liz; brothers, Bernard Greathouse II of Calhoun County and Rusty Greathouse of Gassaway; sisters, Kim Demastus of Glenville and Jackie Rader of Flatwoods; grandchildren Trey, Ben and Katellynn;; several nieces and nephews.
A gathering of family friends will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Richard M. Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway. Robert's body will be cremated.
