Dorothy "DeDe" Danenhower Roop, age 91, of Germantown, TN, was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. "DeDe" majored in Economics at Bucknell College. She was an avid swimmer and tennis player, practiced and taught yoga, played bridge in numerous ckubs, traveled extensively, and sailed with her husband at Arkabutla Lake as well as along the Maine coast in their beloved sailboat, Chibaloc. She loved to read, especially mysteries, was an active member of the Unitarian Church of the River, and a proud board member of MIFA, served as a docent at the Memphis Zoo, volunteered at the Shelby County Central Library, took classes at Rhodes College and University of Memphis, and helped hospice patients.

Children--Kathy Huninnen; Peter (Connie); Martha Turner (Joe);
Grandchildren--Matt Turner (Amanda); Daniel Turner (Holly); Sterling Roop; Peter Turner (Sarah); Heidi Roop (Peter Neff); DeDe Hazlip (Ben);
Great Granddaughters--Lila, Maddie, and Sadie.
