Mr. William Lewis Hargett, 77, died Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Springs Memorial Hospital in Lancaster. The funeral service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Great Falls Church of God with Rev. James Freeman officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at the Great Falls Church of God. The interment follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.

Born February 15, 1940 in Lancaster County, SC, Mr. Hargett was the son of the late Samuel D. Hargett and Eula Mae Aldridge Hargett. He attended Lancaster County schools and York Technical College. He was formerly employed with J.P. Stevens and Duracell as a supervisor. Mr. Hargett attended the Great Falls Church of God.

He is survived by one son, Lewis Randall Hargett (Sharon) of Salisbury, NC; three daughters, Sharon Varnadore (Steve) of Great Falls, SC, Delores Elizabeth “Libby” Kirkland (Joseph) of Chester, SC and Mary Watson of Lugoff, SC; nine grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; a step-daughter, Debbie Lee of Georgia and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.

Memorials may be made to Great Falls Church of God, 34 Underwood Avenue, Great Falls, SC 29055.
