GEORGE GRIFFIN
George H. Griffin, 84, retired farmer and lifelong resident of Shelby County, died Thursday, Dec. 18, 1980 at the Samaritan Memorial Hospital in Macon, following several weeks of ill health.
Born June 10, 1896 in Shelby County, he was the son of the late Greenberry and Nancy (Snow) Griffin. He married Mary Gingrich on Dec. 15, 1917 in Clarence.
Survivors are his wife; one brother, Lee Griffin of Clarence; and one sister, Mrs. Letha Gingrich of Clarence.
His parents, one son, one brother, and five sisters, are deceased.
He was a member of the Clarence Christian Church and had been a member of the I.O.O.F. Lodge for over 50 years.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 20, 1980 at the Greening Funeral Home in Clarence. Burial was in the Maplewood Cemetery.
