John Arnold Moore was the son of Charles Vern and Marian (Ferguson) Moore. He was married to Mary Inez Miller on September 1, 1940, in White County, IN. He was last employed as serviceman/salesman of a bottled gas company.

J. Arnold Moore, 78, died at 8:05 PM Tuesday, Sept. 17, 1996, in Lafayette Home Hospital, where he had been a patient two weeks. Feb. 19, 1918, at Largo, Wabash County, he graduated from Wadena High School in Benton County. His marriage was to Mary I. Miller on Sept. 1, 1940, at Wolcott; she died May 6, 1995.

Mr. Moore owned and operated the Nic--Nac Drive-in restaurant at Fowler from 1947-1953. He then worked at Fowler Bottle Gas until 1984. He was active in Little League and Babe Ruth baseball in Fowler for many years and was a past member of the Masonic Lodge and Murat Shrine.

Surviving are a son, Gary Moore of Lafayette; a daughter, Bonnie (Mrs. Ralph) Zarse of Reynolds; a brother, Russell Moore of Lafayette; a sister, Lorene Graham of Indianapolis; and four grandchildren.
