Mrs. Kimbrel was a native of Union Point, GA, having made Augusta her home for more than 50 years. She was a member of the Robinson Baptist Church, Union Point, GA and was retired from T’s Restaurant as a waitress with 20 years of service. Mrs. Kimbrel enjoyed spending time with and loved each of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her great great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Kimbrel; two daughters, Peggy Green Jessup and Cheryl Gilliam; her parents, Thomas and Pearl Edwards and a sister, Beatrice E. Williams.
Survivors include five daughters, Judy Dunn (Stephen), Hollywood, FL, Gail Mugge (Paul), Alton, IL, Bobbie Matthews (Edgar), North Augusta, SC, Pat Ragonton, Grovetown, GA and Terri Kimbrel, Aiken SC; 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.
