Eva was born in Port Neches, Texas, on September 29,1929 to parents Aline (Prevost) and O'Neil Joseph Blanchard.
She had lived in Port Acres since 1951 and was a lifelong member of St. Therese Little Flower of Jesus Catholic Church. Eva was a member of the Kaycettes: the women auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus Council #3195. She worked in housekeeping for many years at Mid-Jefferson Hospital and Holiday Inn. Eva was also a volunteer at St. Mary's Hospital as a Pink Lady. She enjoyed sewing and working in her flower gardens. Eva was a loving person who loved spending time with her family and friends. And she will be dearly missed; she was known for her beautiful smile all the time.
She was preceded in death by her parents: her husband Simon Bijeaux: sons, Simon Herman Bijeaux, Billy Bijeaux: her daughter, Sharon "Sherry" McKnight.
Those left to cherish Eva's memory are her daughter, Michelle Davis and husband, Steve: her son, Johnny Bijeaux and wife, Denise; her sisters, Betty Anna Brown and Barbara "Bobbie" Blum; eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and numerous niece and nephews.
