Born November 28, 1928, in Hancock, he was the son of Jesse and Elizabeth Taylor and the widower of Ruth Truax Taylor, who died December 28, 2014.
He was a graduate of Hancock High School.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Korean War.
He retired from Colonial Hardware in Hagerstown, Md., where he was a carpenter.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Affairs Association.
He is survived by one son, Roger Taylor, Berkeley Springs; one granddaughter, Crystal Taylor, Berkeley Springs and one great-granddaughter.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Lisa Mellott and Helen Smith and four brothers, Ed, Charles, Walt and Floyd Taylor.
There will be no visitation or services.
