Lois Ann Masterson, age 89, died March 21, 2017 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
She was born September 26, 1927 in Charleston, Missouri to the late Ernest and Mae (Cox) Maynard. She was a member of Miner Baptist Church and had been a secretary for Trinity Baptist Church before retiring.
On January 13, 1950 she was married to Arthur Jerry Masterson, he preceded her in death March 6, 2013.
She is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Jerie Ann Yant of Sikeston, Julie & Russell Franklin of Eads, Tennessee and Kay & Doug Reynolds of Nashville, Tennessee; two granddaughters and their husbands, Kristi & Kevin Hensley and Addie & Braxton Melancon; and two great grandchildren, Whitney Hensley and Wyatt Hensley.
In addition to her husband and parents, one brother, Murray Maynard; and two sisters, Margie Sitzes and Helen Matthews, preceded her in death.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 23, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held Friday, March 24, at 10:00 a.m. The Rev. Mitch Jackson, pastor of Miner Baptist Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Forest Hills Cemetery near Morley, Missouri.
Pallbearers will be David Matthews, Jim Matthews, Russell Franklin, Doug Reynolds, Kevin Hensley and Braxton Melancon.
Honorary pallbearers will be Marty Presley and Mike Wilson.
