J.B. BAXLEY
BARNWELL -- J.B. Baxley, 89, died Sunday, January 13, 2008, at the Barnwell Co. Hospital.
Mr. Baxley was born in Barnwell County on September 1, 1918, and was the son of the late Edward and Mittie Zissette Baxley. He was an army air corp veteran of WW II and a member of Harmony Masonic Lodge #17. He was the retired owner of J.B. Baxley Well Drilling Co.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Mole Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Romie Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the Barnwell Co. Memorial Cemetery (Airport) with Masonic rites accorded.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
Survivors include: one son: Larry (Rachel) Baxley of Barnwell, SC; one sister, Helen B. Ridgeway of Florence, SC; three grandchildren, Jason (Cynthia) Baxley, Jason Baxley and Janell Baxley; one great-grandchild, Arthur Baxley.
He was predeceased by three brothers: Benson Baxley, Henry Gaines Baxley and Olin Baxley.
