In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Don Shinall, Jim Shinall, and Earl Shinall; one grandson, Adam David Shinall and best friend, Heavy Reedy.
Buddy is
survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Eula Lowe Shinall; two sons, Buddy Thomas Shinall and wife Regina of Bristol, VA, Elmer Peery Shinall and wife Kimberly of Richlands, VA; one daughter, Janie D. Plumley and husband Giles (P-nut) of Richlands, VA; one brother, Bob Shinall and wife Ilean of Richlands, VA; five grandchildren, Joshua Plumley and wife Sabrina of Richlands, VA, Aaron Plumley of Athens, WV, Brandi Beavers and husband Nathaniel of Richlands, VA, Hallie and Whitney Shinall of Richlands, VA; four great-grandchildren, Isabella, Natalie, Adam and Kaiden. His babies were the joy of his life. Two brothers of the heart, Garfield and Eugene Lowe.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 22 after 6:00 P.M. at the Singleton Funeral Service in Cedar Bluff, Virginia. Funeral Services will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday with Mr. Aaron Plumley, Pastor Doug Allen and Pastor Jerry Barrett officiating. Burial will be Thursday, March 23 at 2:00 P.M. at the Clinch Valley Memorial Cemetery in Richlands, VA. Those wishing to attend the committal service, please meet at the cemetery. Pallbearers will be Josh Plumley, Aaron Plumley, Barry Shinall, Nathaniel Beavers, Don Burke, and Giles (P-nut) Plumley. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Earnest Henry, Teresa Lester and the Abingdon Ambulance Service. Special thanks to Della and Toby Proffit, Opie Smith and Jon Whited.
