Amanda Hoover Fox
Amanda Hoover Fox was born in Montgomery Co. Ohio, May 18, 1850, and passed away in Jerome, Dec. 10, 1916, age 66 years, 6 months and 28 days.
She was united in marriage to Elias Z. Fox Nov. 4, 1866 and to this union six children were born, four of whom survive.
Mrs. Fox in her early life joined the Dunkard church and received the sacrament of baptism. Later in life she united with the Methodist church and was a member of the same when she was called home.
She leaves to mourn her going three sons, Jesse A., of Brighton, Ia.; Chas. W., of Jerome and Abraham L. of Kansas City; and one daughter, Eva M. Moore of Beech, Ia.; one brother and a large company of relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held in the Methodist church at Jerome, conducted by Rev. J. F. McKay, pastor of the Methodist church of Seymour, and she was laid to rest in the cemetery at Jerome.
