Mrs. W. J. Arnold passed away at a local hospital about 7 o'clock Friday night, right after a short illness. She was born in Burnside, Ky., May 11, 1868, and had been a resident of Kiowa for the past twenty years. She is survived by two daughters, Miss Fern Arnold, Kiowa, and Mrs. Hugh Russell, McAlester. Also a brother, D. W. Smith, St. Joe, Ark., and two grandsons, Staff Sgt. Arnold Russell, Tampa, Fla., and Pvt.Hubert Russell, somewhere in the south Pacific. Funeral services will be held in Kiowa Methodist church Monday, 2:30 p.m. Burial in Oak Hill cemetery will be under the direction of Chaney's.
