Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Stover Memorial Church of the Brethren. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
Born in Walnut, she lived in Des Moines for most of her life, Mrs. Lewis was a retired cook and matron for the Des Moines public school system. She was also a member of Stover Memorial Church of the Brethren.
Survivors include three daughters, Winifred McDonough of Des Moines, Kathleen Godwin of Norwalk and Darlene Mitchell of Douglas, Wyo.; six sisters, Margaret Davis, Hazel Young, Fayrene Ellenwood, Dorothy Boitnott, and Vera Moreland, all of Des Moines, and Mary Shane of Manning; two brothers, John W. Davis of Des Moines, and George Davis of Spokane, Wash.; 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to Des Moines General Hospital's building fund.
