Edna "Maw" Cody, age 91 of Newport, passed away Friday, March 10, 2017. She was a member of Rankin Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton Cody; son, Ronnie Clayton Cody; granddaughter, Chasity Dawn Moody; great-granddaughters, Kaylynn Elizabeth AnnMarie Cody and Brittany LeAnne Cody; parents; Ulys and Kate Miller; brothers, Harold and Glenn Miller; and son-in-law, Junior Ball.
She is survived by children Helen Ball, Kathy (Gary) Raley, and Randy Cody; grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann (David) Barnes, Michael Ball, Kevin (Ashely) Cody, and Randall Seth (Kelly) Cody; great-grandchildren, Brittany Cody, Cameron Ball, Jolee Ball, Bradley Cody and Claydon Cody; one great-great-grandchild, Bella Cody; daughter-in-law, Linda Cody; several special nieces and nephews, and a host of family and friends.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 pm, Sunday, March 12, 2017 at Rankin Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Rankin Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm-2:00 pm at Rankin Missionary Baptist Church
