Born June 21, 1922, in Jordan Run, he was the son of the late Walter Samuel and Laura (Barger) Berg.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Irene G. (Alt) Berg; five sons, Jack Berg and Delmer R. Berg, both of Petersburg, and the Rev. Lyle W. Berg Sr., Rusty Berg and Danny Berg, all of Maysville; two sisters, Velma Goldizen and Hazel Heavner, both of Maysville; two brothers, Austin Berg of Maysville, and Foster Berg of Petersburg; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were March 17, at the Cabins Assembly of God Church, Cabins, because of renovation at his home church, with interment in the Berg Family Cemetery, Jordan Run.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Schaeffer Funeral Home, Petersburg. (3/20)
