She had lived in the North Georgia area since 1983 and was of the Church of God faith. She retired from Bevis Rope Company in 1999 after more than 16 ½ years and was completely devoted to her family, adored her children but worshiped her Lord more than anything.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ed Riddle; mother & step-father, Lela Mae & Bishop Green; husband, William “Bill” Cornett and two brothers, Edwin & Wayne Riddle and half-brother, Jerry Bryan Riddle.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 4, 2017 in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Pastor C.L. Harbin officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakewood South Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends after 4 p.m. Friday and prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
