She was a retired Insurance Agent. Years ago, she worked in the payroll dept. at Black and Decker. She was a 1943 graduate of Sparks High School in Baltimore, County. She was a member of Bixlers United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and the Hampstead American Legion Post 200 Ladies Auxiliary. She was past president of the Manchester Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary and the Carroll County Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary. She was an avid Orioles fan, enjoyed playing cards, loved Vince Gill music, loved to travel and enjoyed being with her family.
She is survived by her children; Beverly J. Gill and husband Melvin of Hanover, PA., Lynn M. Gibson of Hanover, PA.., Douglas C. Kreitzer and wife Marybeth of Manchester, MD. and Darryl B. Kreitzer of Manchester, MD., grandchildren; Corey Brooks and Kelly Gibson, great grandchildren; Cole Brooks and Nevaeh Gibson, 5 step grandchildren and 9 step great grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother Dan Quinley, Jr. and wife Shirley of Westminster, MD. and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister; Janette Hoffman.
Interment in Bixler's Cemetery.
