Attached to Abercrombie's Provisional Brigade, Casey's Division, Defences of Washington, to December, 1862. Patrick's Command, Provost Guard, Army of the Potomac, to January, 1863. 3rd Brigade, 1st Division, 1st Army Corps, Army of the Potomac, to June, 1863.

60 years, 6 months and 11 days old when he died. Resident of Byram Twp, Sussex Co, NJ. Son of Jerimiah and Machalia Pool. Stanhope Eagle Newspaper dated Wed Oct 31, 1888 "Aaron Pool, a soldier of the late war, residing at Old Andover, died last evening and will be buried at Mount Olive".
