She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Lee and Manilla Swann Beene; her sisters, Gussie Lee Martin and Geneva Pettigrew; her niece Susan Yvonne Holland; and her granddaughter, Amanda Blackburn.
Azalea was survived by her husband, Jim; her daughter, Stacy Nabasny and husband, Dave; her son, Chris Peasner and wife, Jeri; her stepson, Jim Blackburn and wife, Christy; her stepson, Chris Blackburn and Maryann Zucchero; her grandchildren, Christen Harvill and husband Brandon, Trisha Lozano and husband Anthony, Andrew Nabasny, Brad Peasner, Nicole Blackburn, Caitlee Nabasny, Emmily Blackburn, and Jimmy Blackburn; her great-granddaughters, Lakeland Lozano and Sebryn Harvill; numerous nieces and nephews.
Azalea's favorite thing was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren! She was a member of Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano and volunteered at the Prestonwood Pregnancy Center. Some of her proudest moments were when three of her grandchildren graduated from Prestonwood Christian Academy.
Service will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, TX. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Azalea may be given in her name to the Prestonwood Pregnancy Center.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted into Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas, 75243.
