Dorothea was born on October, 28, 1932 and passed away on July 7, 2010. She was born in Everett, WA to William and Dorothy Broekema. The family lived in Montana and then in California.
She worked as a nursing attendent at Rancho Los Amigos for 27 years. She was married to John Keihl and later to George Walden.
She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Peter Smit; sister, Genevieve; brother, Howard; brother-in-law, Ernie; and sister-in-law, Angi. She is survived by sisters, Jerita (Klaas), Meredith (Chet), Deloris, Irma, Marcia (Ray); and brothers, Willis (Beverly) and Morrie (Diane).
Memorial services will be held on Friday, July 16, 2010 at 11 am at Bethany Christian Reformed Church, 17054 Bixby, Bellflower where she was a member. Donations may be made to the Artesia Christian Home. Whites Funeral Home (562) 867-2741
