Martha E. Eves, 104, formerly of South Ninth Street, Columbia, died Monday at St. Anne's Home, Columbia, after an illness. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Columbia. Born in Marietta, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Mary Loucks Zuch. Her husband, Vincent J. Eves, died in 1967. Surviving are four daughters, Catherine Beale of Lancaster, Margaret Gibson of Columbia, Geraldine Wolf of York and Martha Eleanor, wife of Charles Schlossman of Mountville; a son, Harold, husband of Fay Griffith Eves of Wrightsville; 18 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren; 18 great great grandchildren; and one great great great grandson. Two sons, Kenneth and John Eves, and a daughter, Ruth Boll, preceded her in death. (Lancaster New Era - Mar 4, 1998)
