She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Walter E. Young, Jr., who died three days earlier.
Margaret was born on May 25, 1944 in Mecklenburg County, Virginia to the late Floyd J. Seamans and Christine Allgood Seamans Matthews. Mrs. Young is survived by her children, Walter E. (Chip) Young III and wife Michelle, Dennis T. (Todd) Young, and Tina Y. Lauzau and husband Tom, along with three grandchildren, Brett Lauzau, Lauren Young, and Lindsey Young.
She is also survived by four brothers and a sister and their spouses, J.B. and Betty Seamans of Greensboro, NC, Bobby and Linda Seamans of Gordonsville, VA, Jean and Bobby Reavis of Goldsboro, NC, Danny and Sheila Seamans of Chase City, VA and Gary and Donna Seamans of Clarksville, VA.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Patrick Seamans.
Margaret was a long time member of Graham Presbyterian Church in Graham, NC.
