Walter E. Young, Jr., 73, of Burlington, passed away at the Hospice Home of Alamance on February 20, 2017. He was survived by his wife of 53 years, Margaret S. Young, who died three days later.
Walter was born on March 23, 1943 in Stovall, NC to the late Walter E. Young and Helen Settle Hicks Young.
Mr. Young is survived by his children, Walter E. (Chip) Young III and wife Michelle, Dennis T. (Todd) Young, and Tina Y. Lauzau and husband Tom, along with three grandchildren, Brett Lauzau, Lauren Young, and Lindsey Young.
He is also survived by a sister, Kathryn Tingen, and her husband Larry.
Walter attended East Carolina University and he was a lab manager for Cone Mills as well as a sales representative for Amitech. His work career spanned 40 plus years.
