US Marine Sgt Nathaniel Hudson, Vietnam Veteran, Native of Middlesex, NC.

US Marine Sergeant Nathaniel Hudson was a casualty of the Vietnam War. As a member of the Marine Corps, SGT Hudson served our country until April 9th, 1969 in Quang Nam, South Vietnam. He was 28 years old and was married. It was reported that Nathaniel died in the line of duty. His body was recovered. Nathaniel was born on April 4th, 1941 in Wilson, North Carolina. SGT Hudson is on panel 27W, line 045 of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. He served our country for 4 years, serving two tours in Vietnam.

Funeral services for Sgt Nathaniel Hudson, who was killed in Vietnam Combat on April 8, will be held Sunday, 1 p.m., at Middlesex First Baptist Church. The Reverend J.T. Dunston will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery in Wilson and full military rites will be accorded at graveside. Surviving are his wife, Mrs Katrina Hudson, 4429 Wrenwood Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland. His parents, Mr and Mrs Chedwick Hudson of Middlesex; five sisters, Miss Joyce, Miss Janice and Mrs Willie Hudson, all of the home, Mrs Marjorie Pierce of Zebulon, Mrs Barbara Walker of Johnston County, and a brother, David Hudson of Thomasville. the family will receive friends from 7pm until 9pm Saturday at Hamilton Funeral Home in Wilson.

He is the Son of Mr Mr and Mrs Chedwick Hudson of Middlesex, NC; Husband of Mrs Katrina Hudson, 4429 Wrenwood Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland; Brother to the late David Hudson and Joyce, Janice, Marjorie and Barbara.

He served with H&MS-18, Marine Air Control Group-18, 1st Marine Air Wing, 3rd Marine Amphibious Force.

He was awarded The Combat Action Ribbon(CAR), The Vietnam Service Medal, The Republic of Vietnam Campaign Service Medal, The National Defense Service Medal and The Good Conduct Medal.
