Stanka was know by her family and friends as "Jennie" and was affectionately called "Baba" by her grandchildren.

She was born in Veljun, Yugoslavia, and immigrated to the United States in 1911 to join her husband to be, Mihailo "Michael" who had arrived in the USA sometime in 1908-1909. Shortly after her arrival the couple were married on January 22, 1911 at St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church, Johnstown, Pennsylvania. The couple was blessed with five boys and one girl.

Settling in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, on June 22nd, 1944 she became a United States Citizen, Cambria County, Ebensburg, Pennsylvania.

She was preceded in death by her husband Mihailo (1886-1943) and their daughter Darinka "Saya" Sikirica (1930-1936).

Left to mourn her death and cherish her memories, she was survived by her sons Michael "Ben" Sikirica, married to former Madalan Knepper of Johnstown, Pennsylvania, John Sikirica, married to former "Delly" Held of Warwick, Rhode Island, George Sikirica, married to former Pauline Chinnick of Broadalbin, New York, Nick Sikirica, married to former Ailene Howells of Kansas City, Missouri and Milo Sikirica, married to former Josephine Demko of Glen Burnie, Maryland; 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

NOTE: Point of clarification: There seems to be some disagreement on "Baba's" date of birth. The obituary written in a local newspaper, note her birthday as May 6, 1891. The tombstone marker shows the date May 22, 1892. And Social Security records shows the date placed on this memorial.
