John Monroe "Johnny" Dearmon
Johnny was born Nov. 11, 1882 in Wisconsin after the Dearmon family moved from Ohio. He was the eighth of nine children of John Perry Dearmon and Mary Jane Towns Dearmon. They were parents of six daughters and 3 sons.
Some of the John Perry Dearmon family members moved from Wisconsin to Tennessee when Johnny was only 6 years in 1888. The family went west to Texas before 1897 where Johnny's mother died in Feb. 1897 and some of the family moved back to Wisconsin where his father remarried in October 1897. The 1900 Stark, Vernon County, Wisconsin census enumerated John as 17, farm laborer living with the Cowan family at dwelling 238. His father, stepmother, her children and Johnny's sister, Mae, were living nearby at dwelling 227.
Johnny was only 19 years when he died in 1902. We, family members, never want to forget this young man who was part of our Dearmon clan. Memorial submitted by NGL, granddaughter of Chloa Dearmon Fultz. John Monroe Dearmon's birth and death were recorded in a booklet compiled by his sister, Chloa.
I do not know if Johnny has a tombstone and what cemetery he was buried, so this is a 'memorial' for my grandmother's brother. This, too, is to let other researchers know that there was another son born in this Dearmon family.
