Sheila A. (Breckenridge) Jordan, 90, of Spring Street, Hope Valley, R.I., died peacefully on July 15, 2012, at Shady Acres in Exeter, R.I. She was the beloved wife of the late Lester A. Jordan.
Born in Brooklyn New York, on July 2, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Nelson and Delia (O'Halloran) Breckenridge.
Sheila had worked at Kaydee Handprints in Hope Valley, R.I., for over 10 years before retiring. She was a communicant of St. Joseph Church in Hope Valley, R.I.
She will be sadly missed by her son, Gary Jordan and his wife, Lynn, of Hope Valley, R.I., and her grandchildren, Jeremy Jordan and his fiancée, Laura Gostin, of Warwick, R.I., and Keri Lynn Jordan, of Hope Valley, R.I. She was the great-grandmother of Kyle Lee and Sydney Nicole.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday at 10 a.m., at St. Joseph Church, 1105 Main St. Hope Valley, R.I. Calling hours will be Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m., at the S.R. Avery Funeral Home, Main Street, Hope Valley, R.I. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 245 Waterman St., Providence, R.I., 02906.
