MRS. SARAH BRANNER OF ARCOLA IS DEAD

Arcola, Ill., July 17. — Mrs. Sarah Branner died Sunday morning at the home of her niece, Mrs. William Black, one mile north of Arcola. She was a sufferer from intestinal nephritis.

The funeral was held this morning at ten o'clock at the Arcola Baptist church with Rev. Milford officiating. Burial was in the Arcola cemetery, with the services at the grave side in charge of the Eastern Stars.

Mrs. Branner was almost eight-six years old.

She was born in Vigo county, Indiana, on August 3, 1842, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clark Moore, and came with her parents to Arcola in 1853 at the age of eleven years. She resided in this city for seventy-five years.

In 1861, during the Civil war, she was married to Gustave Branner. No children were born to this union. Mr. Branner died in 1887.

She is survived by one sisters, Mrs. Clara Crum, of Champaign, two nieces and a nephew; Mrs. William Black, Miss Mattie Lamb and Harry Lamb of Arcola.

Mrs. Branner was a member of the Arcola Baptist church since young womanhood and a member of the local Order of Eastern Star.
