NORFOLK - Mrs. Ruth Loar Hester, 44, wife of Carson R. Hester and daughter of the late Jacob L. and Mrs. Edith Fatkin Loar, a native of Loartown, Md. and a resident of Norfolk for the last 17 years, died in a local hospital Wednesday at 6:15 p.m.

She was a member of the Methodist Church and resided at 6900 Water Works Rd.

Surviving are one stepdaughter, Mrs. Jack Huggins of Lumberton, N.C., two sisters, Mrs. Irene Robertson of Vale Summit, Md. and Mrs. Dorothy Davis of Washingon, on brother, Jacob L. Loar of Vale Summit, Md. and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at Ewell and Williamson Funeral Home Friday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park, Bayside.
