Miss Belle Chaney, age 82 of Stuart, passed away Friday, February 10, 2017 at Blue Ridge Therapy Connection. She was born in Patrick County on May 2, 1934 to the late Lewis Steven Chaney and Ella Parker Chaney. In addition to her parents, Miss Chaney was preceded in death by five brothers, Raymond, Roscoe, Amon, Henry and Tom Chaney; four sisters, Ollie, Mae, Lena and Dora Chaney. She was a member of Union Primitive Baptist Church.
Miss Chaney is survived by a sister-in-law, Lera Everine Chaney of Stuart; nine nieces; and three nephews.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 14, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Union Primitive Baptist Church with Pastor Mark Terry officiating. Burial will immediately follow in the Chaney Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Union Primitive Baptist Church on Friday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM.
