Mrs Addie Morris, member of the Mount Zion Methodist church, died yesterday at her residence near Hapeville at the age of 56, following a brief illness.
A daughter of the late Rev Tom Allen, well known Methodist minister, she was a lifelong resident of Atlanta.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs H E Burge, Mrs J Q Barton and Mrs G W [H G] West; six sons, W E Morris, a member of the composing room force of the Georgian-American; D L, W W, C N, Jim and Ben Morris; a brother, W W Allen, and six sisters, Mrs Mollie Oliver, Mrs Nellie Herndon, Mrs W M Bruce, Mrs Cleve McElroy, Mrs B H Hall and Mrs Will Stringer.
Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock this afternoon at the Mount Zion Methodist church, with the Rev C F Forrester and Wilson Finch officiating. Burial will be in Crest Lawn cemetery under the direction of J Austin Dillon.

Addie was the 8th of 12 children born to Benjamin F Allen & Mary A Quinn who married in Mar 1864, White Co GA. It is unknown why her father is mentioned as Tom in her obituary. The death certificate for 2 of her siblings give their mother as Mary/Ann Turner. It is unknown if this is in error or if she was previously married. She seems to the the daughter of James Quinn who was in Habersham & White Counties GA.
