Mrs. Irene Grace Berg, 83, of Maysville, died Sunday, Jan. 1, at her home.
Born June 24, 1922, in Smoke Hole, she was the daughter of the late Lottie (Alt) Reel Hockman. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ebert S. Berg, March 13, 2001; two sons, Raymond Ebert Berg and Roger Lee Berg Sr.; one daughter, Thera Mae "Sudie" Berg; two brothers, Ralph "Dick" Alt Sr. and Charles "June" Reel Jr.; and two grandsons, Roger Lee Berg Jr. and Roger Wayne Berg.
She is survived by five sons, Jack D. Berg and Delmer R. Berg, both of Petersburg and the Rev. Lyle W. Berg Sr., Rusty A. Berg and Danny W. Berg, all of Maysville; two sisters, Ann Hesse of Maysville and Louella Rodgers of Annandale, Va.; 18 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services wereJan. 4, at the Schaeffer Funeral Home chapel, Petersburg, with interment in Berg Family Cemetery, Maysville.
