John H. Martin’s “The Making of a Modern City: Columbus, Georgia, 1827-65,” Volume II (1875), p. 79, shows on a list of deaths for 1854: Mrs. McCALL, 22 FEB 1854 (from a version of the Sexton's quarterly report - presumed to be date of burial).
Mary Jane Galer's "COLUMBUS, GA: Lists of People, 1828-1852, and Sexton's Reports to 1866" (2000), p. 197, shows: Mrs. McCALL died aged 75 years of “old age”; buried 22 FEB 1854 (from “23rd January to 1st April 1854, Sexton’s Report,” dated 29 MAY 1854).
This grave is probably not identifiably marked. Based on the burial date, it would be in either the Old Cemetery section or Section 1, unless it was subsequently moved, as the balance of the Linwood Cemetery area had not yet been opened up for burials.
