"Services in memory of Grant Scott will be conducted from Sanford U B chuch, Sunday at 1:30 pm, with Rev F D Smock, of Grand Valley, officiating. Interment in Spartansburg cemetery. The deceased was [a] son of Charles D Grant (sic) [Scott] and Madeline Scott and [was] born April 28, 1869, at Spartansburg. He died from pneumonia in the Warren hospital, Thursday evening, having been seriously ill only since last Sunday. He leaves one sister, Mrs Kate Falkenburg of Cleveland, [and] two brothers, Eugene Scott of Kane and Charles Scott of Sanford."
