Jeannie Scott, age 93 and a resident of Warsaw, passed away Sunday, February 5th, at the Gallatin Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Warsaw. Born May 27, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Edna Peace. Her husband of 50 years, Raymond Howard Scott, also preceded her in death as well as three brothers: Billy Jo Peace, Robert Peace and Richard Peace; one sister: Emma Jane Anness and one daughter: Betty Lou Scott.
Jeannie was a member of the Paint Lick Baptist Church where she sang in the choir. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, taking walks on their farm and spending time with her grand daughter [name removed]. Jeannie is survived by a son: Bill Scott (wife Mary Lou) of Walton KY; two brothers: Jack Peace of Warsaw and Jim Peace of Florida; one grand daughter: Rachel Doyle of New York City and two step-grand children: [names removed] both of Charlottesville VA.
Visitation will be held Thursday, February 9th, from 11am until 2pm at the Garnett-New-McDonald Funeral Home in Warsaw. Funeral services will begin at 2pm Thursday with Bro Denny French officiating. Burial will follow in the Napoleon Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
