WILFORD GEORGE "HUCK" ACKLEY,73,died at his home in Mulino Thursday,December 4.
He was born at Lagrande,October 31,1913 to George and Lulu Bridwell Ackley,attended Telocaset high school and Union high school.He came to the Molalla area in 1940,worked as a log truck driver for Ostrander,and was employed with Crown Zellerbach as shop foreman until his retirement in 1975.
Ackley was a member of Molalla I.O.O.F. Lodge No. 184,was a frequent visitor to Eastern Oregon,liked camping and traveling and he enjoyed Rodeo's.
Survivors are his wife Alice whom he married June 29,1946 at Molalla,two sons,two brothers and five sisters.
Funeral services were December 9,at the Molalla Chapel of Everhart and Kent,with interment in Adams Cemetery.
