Sgt Robert Larry Dellinger, B CO, 2ND BN, 327TH INFANTRY, 101ST Airborne DIV, US Army. He was a Native of Kings Mountain, NC. He was 22 years old and was married to Mrs Donna K Dellinger, of 303 East Parker Street, Kings Mountain, NC. Sgt Dellinger was KIA during the Vietnam War on October 27th, 1968 in Thua Thien, South Vietnam.

It was reported that Robert died from A sniper's bullet while on patrol in Vietnam. His body was recovered and buried at Patterson Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Kings Mountain, Cleveland County North Carolina.

SGT Dellinger is on panel 40W, line 042 of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C.
