The Well Known Colored Citizen Succumbed to Consumption Sunday.
Hillard Hackley, a well known colored detective, died at his home 408 Pawnee street about 6 o'clock yesterday afternoon of consumption. He was for several years employed by the county commissioners to assist the Relief society.
Later he was employed as a deputy sheriff to patrol the rough districts near the Soldiers' Home. He was about 45 years old.
