Pauline Mayes Waters was born December 11, 1952, in Lovell, Wyoming, to Deloy Obern Mayes and Nellie May Haggen Mayes. She passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2007.

Pauline is survived by her husband of 33 years, Steven Leslie Waters; five siblings, Laretta, and her husband, Joe Spitzenberger, Lloyd Mayes, and his wife, Claudia, Juanita, and husband, Robert Hawley, Geraldine, and husband, Kevin Hendershot, and Richard Mayes, and wife, Linda.

Pauline married Steven Waters, son of Fred Whiting Waters and Chloe K. Duce Waters on August 31, 1973. Pauline and Steve have four daughters, Leslie Ann, and husband, Brian Kaiser Larsen, Patricia Lynn, and husband, Nathan H. Garner, Lana May, and husband, Mathew Paul Bargabos, and Ashlie Jean Waters. They have eight grandchildren, Amber Lynn Larsen (10) Chelsey Ann Larsen (9), Tyler W. Garner (8), Heidi Marie Larsen (7), Austin W. Garner (5), Cody Kent Larsen (4), McKelle Kay Garner (3) and Amanda Pauline Garner (1).

Pauline has given a life of service in many ways. In addition to caring for her own children and grandchildren, she provided daily care for her father-in-law, Fred Waters. She has served as a coordinator at the Seattle LDS Temple, as ward Relief Society president and as stake primary president. She often made quilts, clothes and toys to donate to those in need. She served for many years in the Boy Scouts of America and received a district award of merit and the silver beaver award. Whenever there was a need, Pauline was there to provide a helping hand. She will always be remembered for her love and service. She will be deeply missed by all her family and friends. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Marysville 2nd Ward.

Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, January 20, 2007, at the Marysville Stake Center, 17222-43rd Avenue N.E., Arlington. Interment will follow at the Marysville Cemetery.
