Adelene E. Johnson, 84, Kerkkhoven, MN, died on Jan 9, 1997, at Rice Care Center, Willmar, MN. Adelene Eleanora Korsberg was born in Strandburg, SD, on Jun 21, 1912, to C. August and Agnes Backman Korsberg. She was preceded in death by both husbands, two sons, and one sister. She married Oscar Bloom in her parents' Strandburg home on Jun 19, 1937. Oscar Bloom died in 1962. She married Edgar Johnson in 1966, and they lived in Minneapolis until 1976, when they moved to Kerkhoven. Mr. Johnson died in 1988. Besides being a homemaker, Adelene was a cook at the Strandburg school for several years. Survivors include her stepson: David Johnson and wife, Gail, Panama; two step-grandsons; brother: Gordon Korsberg; and special friend: Ione Houg, Brandon, SD; and other family and friends. Weather delayed funeral services were held on Jan 17, 1997, at the Bethel Baptist Church in Kerkhoven, with the Rev. Craig Rasmussen officiating. Burial was in the Hillside Cemetery, Kerkhoven, MN.
