Richard Arthur Fagan, 89, died in his home on January 25, 2017 in Stillwater, Oklahoma surrounded by his family. He was born on November 29, 1927 to Sylvester and Matilda Fagan on the family farm south of Perkins.
He married Betty Louise Ham on March 11, 1950 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. They were married for 66 years. He served in the United States Army as a Technical Sergeant. He owned and operated a dairy farm west of Stillwater for 25 years. Betty and Richard were long-time members of the Good Sam Traveling Club.
He is predeceased by his six brothers, three sisters and one granddaughter.
He is survived by his wife Betty of the home and children Beverly Sue Gilbertson (Les), Rick (Beverly Helen), Kelly (Sandy), Shawn (Michele) and Daren (Kate); fourteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two Sister-in-laws Wanda Fagan and Carolyn Murray and Brother-in-Law Frank Eades as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
His funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 29, 2017 at Strode Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Michael Chace officiating in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
