Kenneth Fagan, 92, of Dumas, died Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2015.
Kenneth was born May 6, 1922 in Perkins, Oklahoma, the 8th of 10 children of Sylvester and Matilda Fagan.

He graduated from Perkins High School and attended school for Radio communications before entering the US Army Air Corps. He was stationed in the China, Burma, India theater during WWII as a Morse Code operator in the Signal Corps. He was honorably discharged with the rank of sergeant in 1946 and served in the reserves until 1949. Upon his return to Oklahoma, he met and married Wanda Norris in 1948 after a short courtship and entered the grocery business. Kenny and Wanda and their 3 sons moved to Dumas from Amarillo in 1966. He retired from the grocery business after many years and started his own construction and remodeling company.

During his time in Guymon, Oklahoma, Kenneth taught Sunday School to the 12 year old boys class and was a member of the Guymon City Council. He was a volunteer with Big Brothers in Amarillo and after moving to Dumas, he became an active member of First Baptist Church of Dumas where he taught a men’s Sunday School class.

Kenny will be remembered for his time and service as he led the remodeling of the First Baptist Church Cabin in Glorietta, New Mexico. Kenneth loved playing in bridge groups and card games with his family and grandkids. His yard was always full of gorgeous flowers and he enjoyed gardening and bird watching.

Kenneth is survived by his wife of almost 67 years, and his two. He leaves 4 grandchildren, a great granddaughter, and a step-great grandson. He is also survived by his brother and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his oldest son David, parents, and his other brothers and sisters.

Services will be Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Dumas with Jerry Howe officiating. Burial is at Northlawn Memorial Gardens in Dumas.
