David L. Bowers, age 79, resident of Coweta passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at his home in Coweta, OK. David was born on June 7, 1937 to John Wesley and Gladys Irene (Mannon) Bowers in Ft. Gibson, OK.
He was married on July 10, 1957 in Greenville, MS. David worked at GC Broach Company as a foreman for many years until he retired in 1986. He enjoyed working on cars and fishing.
David is survived by his wife; two daughters, son-in-law; four sons, daughter-in-law; four brothers; three sisters; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
David was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and two sisters.

Services celebrating David's life will be at 1 PM on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, OK with Rev. David Jones officiating.
