Henry Beck, an inmate of the insane asylum at Indianapolis, was brought to the home of his brother, Mr. James Beck, last Tuesday and died at an early hour Thursday morning after a short illness of paralysis. The funeral took place Friday morning at ten o’clock and the remains were buried in the Tresslar cemetery. The deceased leaves a wife and many friends to survive him. The bereaved friends have our extended sympathy in the dark hour of their sorrow.

Indiana State Board of Health Certificate of Death No. 17, page 214 for White River Township, Johnson County records that A. J. [sic] Beck, married white male, age 64y 9, 17ds, died about 1:10 am on September 18, 1902 in White River Township, Johnson County. The cause of death was "Paralysis" due to "Insanity." He was the son of G. Beck, born in Germany, and R. Bowster, born in Pennsylvania. The informant was George Beck of Bluff Creek, and he was buried at Tresslar Cemetery in Johnson County.
