Allen Booten Sr.
Allen D."Dale" Booten Sr., 82, of 600 Denmark St., died at 3:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, 1991, at Burlington Medical Center.
Born July 2,1909, in Olena, Ill., he was the son of Allen Dale and Lizzie Evans Booten. He married Ruby Pearl Coolbaugh July 19, 1935, Illinois.
He worked at the West Burlington Shops or 20 years and then worked for Mason & Hanger, Iowa Army Ammunition Plant. He was a Protestant and a member of the VFW.
Survivors include his wife; one son, Allen Dale Booten II, New Bedford, Mass.; two daughters, LaHoma Sanders and Barbara Johnston, both of Burlington; one half-brother, Doren Reynolds, Burlington; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one niece and three nephews.
The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. Sunday at Prugh's chapel.
The graveside committal service for Mr. Booten will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Burlington Memorial Park cemetery with the Rev. Darryl Bockting officiating.
