Artence Bailey Horton Wetch, 94, passed away Friday, January 15, 2010. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 19, in Oak Grove Cemetery with Pastor Steve Adams officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, Jan. 18, at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors.
Artence was born in Valley Mills, Texas, to the late Oscar and Mary Wilkins Bailey.
Preceding her in death was her first husband, William Horton; five brothers; and four sisters.
Survivors include her sons: Walter William Horton and wife, Cynthia, Melvin Ray Horton and wife, Lorane, Trilton Horton and wife, Robin, Donald Horton, and Ricky Wetch and wife, JoBeth; daughters: Jewel Jean Tice and husband, Ronald, Tencie Marie Whitlock and husband, Richard, Carolyn Biediger, and Roxie Ann Jackson and husband, Bill; 24 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; 30 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Levi Bailey, and Leslie Bailey and wife, Glenda; many other relatives and friends.
